Well here we are the first of what I expect to be many short articles, each one will detail either an individual article or seed that a member has a reasonable belief was posted with the sole intent of denigrating Israel/Palestine.
Any quotes from the original seed/article will be followed with a link and the rationale behind its inclusion.
The article itself is balanced, giving the facts followed by the Israeli response and the counter so there can be no complaints there.
The comments so far leave something to be desired
Roz's post consisted of the 3rd paragraph and then the last two, missing out entirely the paragraph containing the IDF response, to wit
The IDF, which denounced the earlier episode, criticised the latest images and promised disciplinary action.
"This is a grave incident, which does not represent the IDF," a spokesman said. "Our investigation of the incident is ongoing and disciplinary action will be taken in its wake. The IDF will continue to act to prevent incidents of this sort, which are not in line with the IDF's values."
Choosing instead to concentrate on Electronic Intifada's dismissal of theIDF condemnation, yes I'm well aware that the full article is available via the link but to start the debate without the Israeli response makes it hopelessly one sided and shows an intent.
Now we move on to Polka's "Evil army" we're talking about a few individual soldiers out of the entire IDF, the only term I think applicable here would be gross exaggeration.
Finally the "IDF hippies"? I have to admit that did make me smile.
Overall I believe the seeds only purpose is to denigrate the IDF and by extension Israel, there has been no attempt in the comments to prove solutions and on the whole the comments show a level of bias.
